About Max and Rescue

​Max was an Akita, Mastiff mix. We got him when he was 9 months old from a young couple looking to rehome him. Max was a good boy; calm, playful, mischievous, but most of all he loved his people. He was our boy and there will never be another Max.

 

​Max was almost 15 years old when he passed, he left us broken-hearted. It was with the loss of him that began my journey in rescue. We decided to foster a rescue, Chance, he brought some challenges but also helped to heal our hearts a little. To honor Max, I decided to help fund rescues who work tirelessly saving abandoned, neglected, or surrendered animals to high-kill shelters and help find their forever homes.
